Last night at the Saul Bell Design Awards was such an incredible experience.
I don’t think I’ve ever been more visually stimulated and inspired indoors anywhere in my whole life more than I was in one large ballroom last night.
I accepted my award last night for 2nd place winner in the Emerging Jewelry Artists 22 and under category, and also had the only wire wrap in the whole show!!!
There was prize money and a gourmet dinner during this very elegant evening, there are incredible opportunities and exposure on the other side of receiving such an award, but most importantly, there was such magnificent inspiration all around.
I had the chance to speak at length with different jewelry artists who have their work in Smithsonian permanent collection and regularly sell 7+ digit creations, and they were so kind to me and excited for my goals, and gave me so much great advice and many affirmations too!
I collected business cards, consumed some super delicious mango sorbet, received so much support and wisdom, and then jumped in a hot tub.
Today I toured the facilities of RioGrande, the largest jewelry supply and tool manufacturer in the world, and took a tour to learn about the ethics of a company that I’m really building my career upon the goods and services of. I learned very, very positive things which I will elaborate upon in future posts, but I will just say I feel very good about the karma of sourcing through them.
They created and sponsored the Saul Bell Design Awards, who also wrote up this interview with me about my winning piece and beliefs and values.

I will always continue to explore the infinite potentials of wire wrapping and share what I love to do most with the world.
